I recently started reading Pick Me Up, and I honestly didn’t expect it to pull me in so quickly.
This is a spoiler-free review where I share my thoughts on why the series works so well and why I’m personally excited about the possibility of an official game adaptation.
Creative Background
The manhwa is illustrated by Redice Studio, and the visual quality immediately stands out. The action is clean, dynamic, and easy to follow.
The original novel is written by Hermod, and the structured storytelling is clearly reflected in the adaptation.
Published by Atempo Studios, the series feels professionally handled and consistently paced.
Why the Story Works
Without going into spoilers, Pick Me Up excels because of its system-driven survival framework.
Progression feels earned rather than convenient, and the world follows clear internal rules.
That consistency is what makes the tension believable and keeps me invested.
Visual and Narrative Strength
Redice Studio’s artwork elevates the narrative without overshadowing it.
Scenes feel impactful because they are supported by strong structure rather than relying only on spectacle.
The pacing maintains balance between intensity and reflection.
Thoughts on a Potential Official Adaptation
I recently learned that Moebius Order is attempting to pursue an official adaptation of Pick Me Up into a game.
At this time, they are not developing an official adaptation, as proper licensing has not yet been secured.
Personally, I find it encouraging that a studio is trying to pursue the correct legal path instead of simply moving forward without authorization.
It is unfortunate that licensing has not yet been obtained, but I genuinely hope they succeed in receiving official approval.
If they manage to secure the license and release a properly authorized adaptation, I would absolutely support it. Based on what I have seen, I believe they have the potential to handle such a project responsibly.
